My spiritual name is Kriya Nam Kaur and I’ve been teaching Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, PhD, since 2012. I LOVE this practice! Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness. It works through the endocrine and central nervous systems to elevate your capacity on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Yogi Bhajan brought these teachings to the West in 1969 so that as we move into the Aquarian Age, we can use this ancient technology to keep up with all the changes taking place.

Each KY class begins by tuning in with the Adi Mantra. Then we chant the Mangala Charn Mantra to set a protective field around the class. After a series of warm up exercises the kriya (or set of exercises) begins. Each kriya is like a recipe with a specific goal, for example, disease resistance or building the radiant body. The kriya is followed by deep relaxation. Then there is a meditation. Finally, we sing our way out of class with the Long Time Sunshine Song.
